The 3.2 liter V6 has been dropped, but the A3 will now be offered with the two-liter turbodiesel engine found in the the Volkswagen Jetta TDI, with 140 horsepower, 236 lb-ft of torque, and a six-speed S-tronic (twin clutch) automatic transmission driving the front wheels. EPA fuel economy for the A3 TDI are 30 MPG in the city and 42 MPG on the highway. The gasoline-powered 2.0T model is now available with Quattro all-wheel-drive. All A3s get S-Line trim as standard, updated wheels, and optional wood trim, while the Premium Plus model adds Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights.
